In this quick reflection episode of Mama’s Motivational Messages , I’m diving into one of those simple yet powerful truths that hit differently in the empty nest season: “Your priorities should match your goals.”

If you've been feeling out of alignment lately—doing all the things, but not necessarily the right things for you —this gentle nudge is for you.

Plus, I’ll share a free workbook I created just for you called Letting Go, Moving Forward —a thoughtful guide to help you realign with what matters most in this new season of your life. You’ll also hear how to book a free discovery call if you’re ready to talk more about what’s next (all in the Show Notes).

✨ This is your time now. Let your daily life reflect your dreams—not just your old roles.

Welcome to the Momma's motivational messages podcast where women learn to stop putting themselves on the back burner and start paying attention to caring for themselves first so they can be better for everyone else in their lives. I know you'll be inspired by the stories of resiliency and starting over, of health and self-healing, of gaining clarity through journaling, of showing self-love through world travel, and the list goes on. I encourage you to relax and enjoy. I'm your host. Peggie Kirkland, PK,

so I mentioned that in between full episodes, I'd be popping in with little moments of reflection, just to keep us connected and give you something meaningful to think about as you navigate this new chapter, recently, I came across a few powerful statements that really made me pause and reflect on what it means to grow, to shift and to reclaim your identity during this season of life.

So over the next few days, I'll be sharing them with you, one at a time, along with a few thoughts of my own. Here's one of those simple but powerful statements, your priorities should match your goals. I'm going to say that again, your priorities should match your goals.

Now I know that sounds obvious, but let me ask you this, when was the last time you paused and asked to yourself, what are my goals right now, and are my daily actions, thoughts and commitments aligned with those goals, because for many of us, especially in this empty nest season, we're running on habits we built during years of putting all this First.

We're still saying yes to things that don't light us up, still putting our needs on the back burner, even though we finally have a little room to breathe. But here's the shift. This is your time now, if your goal is to rediscover yourself, create more joy or explore new passions, your calendar, your energy and your attention. Need to support that.

I want you to pause for a moment and ask yourself, What have you been prioritizing? Are the things you have been prioritizing aligned with your goals for rediscovering you in this empty nest season. If the answer is no, because you don't know where to start, that's okay, and that's exactly why I created the free workbook, letting go moving forward. It's a gentle guide to help you realign with what matters to you, not who you've had to be.

For others, you can grab it through the link in the show notes, and if you're ready for deeper conversation about what's next, I also offer free discovery calls you really don't have to figure this out alone.

Let this be the season where your priorities finally reflect your dreams, not just your duties. Thanks for listening until next time, keep showing up for you.
